Established in 2019 by a South African, dog-loving family of innovative designers and creators, Valgray is a fashion-forward, designer lifestyle brand for pets and their parents.
Family founders, Marco and Rhodé, have worked in design most of their adult lives and have a wide range of expertise spanning jewellery design, architecture, digital marketing and creative branding skills.
It was the adoption of their beloved Juno, a Chinese Shar-Pei, that inspired the couple to turn their creative attention to the world of dog accessories. With a focus on matching designer style with durable functionality, the Valgray brand was born out of their love, admiration and passion.
“Our dogs are our worlds. They are angels placed in our hands and they deserve so much more than just the ordinary. That is why our mission through Valgray is to design and create beautiful, sophisticated alternatives to everyday dog accessories.”
Since the launch of the very first Valgray collar in February 2019, the team has been on a passion-fueled mission to expand their product range to include different tastes while still keeping to their signature modern and sophisticated style. They remain committed to being proudly animal cruelty-free and have carefully selected quality materials that don’t just look good but feel great for your fur babies.
Thanks to the incredible support Marco, Rhodé and Juno have received, the family is very proud to be able to help doggos in need through several charitable initiatives and Project Cuddles & Crunchies. This would not be possible without YOU and your fur babies, and for that, the Valgray team thanks you!

Valgray is one of the few brands that caters for all dog sizes. From our extra-small collars for the truly tiny pooch to the extra-large collars for giant breeds, we go the extra mile to make sure your fur-babies can put their best paw forward.
It’s important to measure your pup’s neck to make sure your new collar will fit comfortably. Remember to include some space around the neck for your pooch’s safety and comfort. As a rule of thumb, you should be able to fit two or three fingers between the neck and collar.
Once you have your doggo’s measurements, check our sizing guide below for the best collar size.
No problem! You can use a variety of household items to safely measure your dog’s neck. See our guide here.

We try our best to cater to every breed, but some doggos might need a little extra at-home customisation to achieve the perfect fit. Making adjustments to our soft, PVC-coated nylon straps at home is easy. Simply use a standard leather punching tool to add additional holes, or use a utility knife to trim the length of your collar.
